Costs and Financial Aid
FIT is part of the State University of New York system. In addition to state funding, we receive support from the Board of Education of the City of New York. This means that we can share access to our world-class faculty and relevant curricula at an affordable cost.
Paying for Your Education
Financial Aid Services
Financial Aid Services staff members will assist you in seeking financial aid to pay for your college education. This may come in the form of scholarship, grant, loan, Federal work-study, or a combination.
Cost of Attendance (COA)
Your financial Aid will be determined by the Cost Of Attendance (COA) and your Expected Family Contribution (EFC), which is determined by your financial aid application, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Net Price Calculator
SUNY provides a net price calculator to help you get an estimate of the financial aid you may qualify for. Based on the information you provide regarding your family's financial situation and your education preferences, the calculator will return a net price.
Office of the Bursar
The Office of the Bursar is responsible for the collection of student tuition and fees; staff can also help you determine what payment options and other college/financial services might be right for you as well as determine New York State residency.
