The Job Openings number represents the demand by career, accounting for growth and estimating replacement needs for workers who change careers or retire. This number can help infer if there will be a job post-graduation. Note: this is not the number of Job Postings.

Current Employment is the number of workers employed in a career and when included will help you get a feel for the prevalence of that job in an area.

Top Skills shows the top 5 skills employers are looking for by career, based on skills data derived from job postings. This data informs you what skills you should learn and develop (and advertise in their resume or online professional profile) before entering a career.

Projected Outlook is the expected 10-year forecast for a career based on the proprietary Lightcast projection methodology. It demonstrates what employment opportunities could look like in the future for a given career.
