Jennifer LoTurco
Jennifer LoTurco is deputy to the president, serving as the principal liaison with FIT senior administrators and the college’s internal and external constituents, including the State University of New York System and campuses. She also represents the president on board and foundation committees for the college.
Prior to joining FIT, LoTurco was associate vice chancellor for external affairs at SUNY, serving as a senior advisor to the chancellor and a member of senior staff. She took the lead on several critical initiatives, including advancement, development, and alumni affairs. Her role focused on outreach to and engagement with major SUNY constituent groups, including the board of trustees, campus presidents, and regional council leadership across the state.
In addition, she managed the SUNY Global Center functions in New York City and was special advisor to the SUNY board chairman.
LoTurco initially came to the SUNY New York City office as special assistant to the vice chancellor and secretary of the university and later became director of special projects. She then served as assistant vice chancellor, focusing on board issues, campus casework, and college council affairs.
Before SUNY, LoTurco worked on legislative affairs and constituent relations for the New York State Senate. She moved to the Executive Chamber as an appointments officer, managing employment and board portfolios for agencies including the Empire State Development Corporation, Department of Labor, Workers’ Compensation Board, and SUNY.
LoTurco earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the State University of New York at Albany.
