Office of the General Counsel
The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) provides legal counsel, representation and oversight to the college and its affiliated entities on a broad spectrum of legal issues. OGC is led by Stephen P. Tuttle, General Counsel and Secretary of the College.
The goal of the OGC is to provide the highest level of legal support to the numerous divisions of the college in matters such as operations, litigation, student issues, real property and facilities, fundraising, government regulations, intellectual property, employment, tenure, finance and investment, international programs, gifts and general legal policy.
The General Counsel serves as the college’s Records Access Officer, and ex-officio, as the Secretary of the College. For more information, see Board of Trustees.
OGC cannot provide legal advice or services to employees on personal legal issues or matters that are outside the scope of their employment nor to students on academic or personal matters. OGC handles only college-related matters.
If you wish to speak to an attorney about personal matters, please go Referrals for Personal Legal Matters.
